Devlog 2: The development continues!
Hello everyone π
Belinda here, the game dev behind Nova Hunters π In the last two weeks since my last devlog, a few things have happened. I got once again sick, and I wasn't able to work on the game for a few days. Nevertheless, I managed to showcase the game in a local library to some people and was super happy about the feedback I got there π People seemed generally interested in Nova Hunters and played several rounds. Seeing people enjoy the game I made, is a huge motivator!
So now to the changes since the last game update!
Let's start with the thing I'm most excited about: There's now a global leaderboard in the game π After you have set a name, your high score will be saved to a leaderboard and you can compete with other people for the highest ranks π
The Map got some huge improvements and looks now much better with decorations like bushes, trees, flowers, and stones.
When leveling up, you will now always get 2 different upgrades to choose from and you can reroll once, every time you level up.
I got some work done on the spawning system. Creatures are now getting stronger over time.
And of course the general small and big bug fixes and adjustments, like making the spear and the flail much stronger than before.
Like always, I'm super happy about every kind of feedback! Since I'm still so early in the development, your feedback can have a huge impact on the outcome and direction of the game!
